Where I live it's a lot of ENGLISH ONLY! crap and it comes up now and again. Sometimes it catches me off guard because I haven't had anyone say in awhile. I cannot wait until I start hearing people snap 'MERRY CHRISTMAS' at me <-- I'm not sure what they are doing because it does not sound festive when said in this fashion. Also, it's like they know I am an Non-Christian who celebrates on their holy day and are pissed off at me for it, lol.
For some reason these two just irritated me the most:
If you are set on not buying out of our country that is fine. However don't do it this way ----, I had this guy yell at me because they spelled a bunch of words wrong on his soda bottle and how "Stupid of them!". He showed me it and I didn't catch on fast with this one but I said, "It's in Spanish, sir" and he replied with, "Then it's even stupider!" Mmkay.
Had a Daughter and Dad come through my line talking loudly and annoyingly about how everything they purchased was from the USA or Oklahoma made. And, how awesome it was not to have to buy from another country or "Them people" (which would be okay had it not been her tone) because it was all MIO and USA! and how happy and awesome it is. The daughter kept on the conversation with a lot of "them " 'those people ' and it felt like they were trying to pull me into their conversation but I wasn't going to bite -- the Dad when he realized I wasnt responding to anything they were saying -- there wasnt a question anywhere in that chatter that Im aware of, rudely says, "Now don't forget to get your Jones soda, That's made in Oklahoma, too" at me. O_o; <-- this way of reminding me to scan a last item is common, Im not sure why its said like this but most customers I can jokingly say "Awww you bought this for me!" and sometimes they realize the way they were talking to me was a bit snotty.
Customer next was, "Alllllllllllllllllllllrighhhty then" after they left.
Also, isn't Jones soda from Canada?
